About 4 years ago long-time member Lorraine Treanor suggested that the UCW consider saving and purchasing a stained glass window to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the congregation. Having saved $500 a year last summer she and Donna Moss went on the hunt for a window.
They found the new window at a stained glass specialty store in Campbellville that finds windows in buildings being demolished. This particulate one has come from a United Church but it’s history is unknown other than it came from a church in Toronto.
The UCW is honoured to celebrate Streetsville United’s 200th Anniversary with the dedication of this window to the narthex.
