We will be holding a virtual Covenanting Service for Rev. Jessica on Sunday November 22nd at 2:00 pm. A Covenanting Service is a worship service to celebrate the new ministry of a recently called Minister, with their Community of Faith and their United Church Regional Council. It is typically not held as a regular Sunday morning worship service to allow other Ministers from the Region to participate, who will be worshiping with their own Churches that morning.
The decision has been made to livestream Reverend Jessica’s Covenanting Service on Nov 22 at 2 pm rather than have it open for in person attendance. Given the rising numbers and the fact that there will be visitors from other churches and other areas and given that she cannot greet anyone after the service properly, this seemed like the best and safest decision. We are going to have a celebration reception next year when things are brighter and safer and truly celebrate. But the covenanting will happen with the participants and SUCs tech team in attendance. We hope that others can log on and enjoy the service from the safety of their homes
